AccessHealth Spartanburg is a care navigation and community health program serving uninsured adults and children in Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union counties. Since 2010, we have connected more than 35,000 individuals to primary care providers, specialty services, prescription assistance, and the community resources that address the social conditions shaping their health.
As a department of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, our care navigation work is fully integrated into the health system and committed to people who historically have been outside the reach of conventional care.
Our model elevates the role of Community Health Workers. These trained, trusted navigators meet people where they are, understand their barriers, and connect them to the care, services, and support they need. It's an approach that has drawn national recognition and, more importantly, measurable results.
To improve health access and outcomes for uninsured residents of Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union counties — through care navigation, community partnership, and the sustained commitment of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.
A region where every person can access the care they need, when they need it.

"Making a difference in someone’s life is for me the most rewarding aspect of being a nurse. Giving individuals who are going through a challenging moment in their lives compassion, care, and respect is something I enjoy. One of the most rewarding feelings is recognizing that something as simple as my voice, touch, care, and attention can have a profound effect on my clients."
